Massage Types
Swedish Massage therapy's main focus is to relax. Pressure is used to rub the muscles with long gliding strokes. It also offers benefits of increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
Deep Tissue/Sports Massage focuses on chronic muscle, tendon and fascia tension. Fascia is the layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints.
You can identify specific areas of choice that are stressed from repetitive motion and movements. It can be used as a preventative method while training or to reduce recovery time for maximum performance. It improves endurance and flexibility, prevents injury and so much more.
Attn. Pole Dancers, if you have a sore wrist, shoulder, back, etc. that's keeping you from performing a trick/move then this massage can be tailored for you.
Prenatal Massage therapy relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy. It also helps to reduce stress and pressure on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood circulation and relaxation which can lead to better sleep and reduced anxiety.
Reflexology is a technique used on the feet and calves. It works reflex areas that correspond to parts of the body. For example, we have two kidneys, so we have a kidney reflex on each foot. Liver is mostly on our right side, so the reflex is mostly on the right foot. Regis Philbin and Hilary Swank are celebrities that swear by it. Regis did it to relieve kidney stones, and it's a popular choice for women trying to conceive. It's a good alternative to someone who can't receive a full body massage for whatever reason and for someone who has not received a massage before and does not want to get undressed for one.
